Managing Partner & Founder

Joseph N. Casas

Joseph is the firm’s founder and Managing Partner. He is a bilingual lawyer and business advisor with a diverse background and experience founded upon his service as an infantryman in the U.S. Marine Corps and a prosecutor for the U.S. Navy and has almost 20 years of litigation experience.

After serving his country as a prosecutor in the JAG Corps, he learned civil litigation with the national law firm of Mckenna, Long, & Aldridge LLP (Now Dentons US).  His past experience includes, corporate law, bankruptcy law, immigration, and employment matters such as workplace discrimination and retaliation.  As a private military defense lawyer, Joseph obtained numerous acquittals for service-members in high-stakes trials involving allegations of war crimes, including US v. Andrew Grayson. He has first-chaired dozens of trials. 

Joseph is licensed to practice in California, Illinois, Military Courts, and various U.S. District Courts throughout the country.  He received his juris doctorate from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, his Masters of Business Administration from the Stuart School of Business, Illinois Institute of Technology and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin.

New York Partner

John V. Golaszewski

John V. Golaszewski is partner in the firm’s New York office. John has over a decade of experience prosecuting and defending high-stakes and high-profile intellectual property, privacy and media, business, real estate and securities disputes in federal and state courts throughout the United States. His clients have ranged Fortune 500 corporations to entrepreneurs to world-renown athletes and entertainers.

John is a first-chair trial lawyer who has taken jury and bench trials to verdict in federal and state court and who handles all aspects of complex civil litigation, from pre-suit investigation through appeal, while likewise focusing on achieving early resolution through dispositive motion practice and mediation.  In addition to extensive experience in the privacy and media realm, John likewise has significant experience litigating Lanham Act, RICO, FLSA, and ’33 and ’34 Act matters, actions involving trade secret misappropriation, defamation, fraud, breach of contract, business tort, and corporate and partnership dissolution, and advising corporations and individuals who are the subject of SEC, DOJ and FINRA inquiries and investigations and are dealing with business mergers and divorce.

John is licensed in New York and various federal courts throughout the US.  He’s a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and Bucknell University.

Florida Partner

Mila Khomiak

Mila is a licensed Florida civil litigation attorney who specializes in the prosecution of complex litigation matters, specifically, protection of talent rights in the fashion and entertainment industry.

Mila comes to us with vast experience in the areas of business litigation, mortgage lending, and consumer finance litigation.

Mila has tried an extensive amount of bench trials and participated in class action lawsuits with a very high success rate. Most recently she was part of the trial team that led to a victory on behalf of our talent clients in federal court. 

Mila attended University of Toronto in Canada and graduated with an Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Political Science. She then earned a Juris Doctor degree from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida, where she was an Articles Editor for the Intercultural Human Rights Law Review.

Dennis Postiglione

Dennis is a trial lawyer with over 15 years of litigation experience in both state and federal court. His past experience includes representing and advising clients in catastrophic personal injury, trucking, wrongful death, premises liability, construction defect, breach of contract, and misappropriation lawsuits.

Prior to joining the firm as a Partner in the Austin/San Antonio office, Dennis represented a broad base of clients across Texas and the United States. Dennis graduated from the University of Texas as Austin in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Minor in Philosophy where he made the Dean’s List.  He earned his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in 2003.

Monica Padilla

Monica Padilla is an attorney with a colorful array of experience and clientele ranging from individuals to new corporate entities and Fortune 500 companies. She practices law nationally and throughout the state of California and currently resides in Los Angeles, California where she also represents and advises athletes, artists, celebrities, corporations, small businesses and entertainment management companies.

Monica brings 11 years of experience and an accomplished legal background that has included leading teams of attorneys on behalf of both individuals and corporate clients in large scale, complex business litigation. The foundation of Ms. Padilla’s early legal experience can be traced back to boutique to mid-sized firms in downtown San Diego. Ms. Padilla went on to practice with some of the largest law firms in the world, firms dedicated to entertainment, corporate law and civil litigation. 

Ms. Padilla earned her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and her Bachelor of Fine Arts and Pre-Law Political Science Minor from the University of Central Florida
